A nation with great potential....is surrounded by news not so great. Clueless in America, writes Bob Herbert; The great Escape, dreams David Brook; Inmate Count in U.S. Dwarfs Other Nations, dreads Adam Liptak; The Accidental Rebel, justifies his noble deeds Paul Auster. These are examples of very telling articles and Op-Ed's published in New York Times April 22-23, 2008. The writings present the samples of intelligent men with reflective potentials who are making a living by justifying their claims of good deeds. The underpinnings of their thoughts demonstrate nation's ailment.
A young fertile nation with a creative constitution and rich diversified collection of human resource from around the globe has remarkable potential to lift itself, and with it lift the world, yet nation's journalists true to their ailing time are either justifying their existence or dreaming escape.
The question of the day is: What's ailing the nation?
A time to ponder....................
